Meet Megatech’s owner and founder Oliver Hamilton. For over 22 years, Mr. Hamilton has owned and operated Megatech. After graduating from technical school, Oliver worked for 7 years in industrial electronics maintaining electronic process controls, electronic packaging, and automated systems. Thereafter in 1971, he immigrated to Canada and worked as a field engineer for Computer Design Corp. of Santa Monica, California for 3 years and at Megatronix Inc. as a service manager for 13 years. It was at this point that Oliver observed a lucrative opportunity – high resolution monitors were being shipped to the United States for repair and recalibration. He took advantage of this opportunity and founded Megatech Integrated Services Ltd. in 1988.

For the last two decades, Megatech has been known for its superior expertise in electronics service, which has set it apart from all other service companies in the imaging and display industry.

It has represented such companies in the past for warranty service: Barco, Hitachi, Mag Innovision, RasterOps, Sony, Sun Microsystems and SuperMac.

In the 1990s, Megatech provided logistical services for Sun Microsystems, and in the 2000s, Megatech provided logistical services for Polaroid.

Megatech has since added substantially to its repertoire of skills, including:

1) Enlarging its service base to cover a wide spectrum of manufacturers and new technologies;

2) The creation of a sales department to market superior quality display products; and

3) Forming alliances with major manufacturers in broadcast, avionics, industrial and commercial applications.

Since Megatech’s inception, we continue to maintain a highly entrepreneurial environment. Due to technological changes around the globe, we have been able to adapt without many structural changes because of ongoing skills development and training as well as interactions with manufacturers of new technologies. Thus, we pride ourselves with the skill and foresight to deal with any new products on the horizon.

Megatech has also remained greatly flexible in its pursuit of future opportunities outside of the imaging and display spectrum. In addition, the company has always maintained an open ear to new electronics needs that may arise.
